Sentai Filmworks will release the series on Blu-ray Disc on March 19. The company previously streamed the anime as it aired in winter 2018.

The anime is based on Takuto Kashiki's manga. Sentai Filmworks describes the story:

While Hakumei is cheerful, outgoing and prefers to be outside, Mikochi is more introverted and prefers to stay indoors. These differences will set the tone for their friendship. Riding on insects and birds, creating tools from the forest and living their normal lives, they'll show us how day to day chores can be the biggest adventure in a small world full of wonders.

Masaomi Andō (School-Live!, Scum's Wish, Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle) directed the series at studio Lerche. Reiko Yoshida (Violet Evergarden, Tamako Market, Non Non Biyori) handled the series composition, and Tomoko Iwasa (Kasimasi - Girl Meets Girl, Junod) was both the character designer and prop designer. Iwasa was also the chief animation director alongside Mayuka Itou (Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle). KUSANAGI handled the background art. Evan Call (Violet Evergarden, Chronos Ruler, Big Order) composed the music at Lantis. Yūji Higa was the animation producer.
