D3 Publisher began streaming a promotional video on Thursday for its Nintendo Switch release of The Nameko no Puzzle ~Nameko Dai Hanshoku~ (Mushroom Puzzle: Large Mushroom Propagation) game. The video shows gameplay footage.
The game is slated to launch in Japan on December 20, and it is listed with English, Traditional Chinese, and Korean language support.
The tile-matching puzzle game launched for Nintendo 3DS in Japan in 2013. The game is a spinoff of BeeWorks Games and Success' Touch Detective (Osawari Tantei) franchise, which began with the 2006 Nintendo DS mystery game Osawari Tantei: Ozawa Rina.
The game series has spawned multiple spinoffs starring the mascot character Funghi. Aside from The Nameko no Puzzle, these include the rhythm game Osawari Tantei Ozawa Rina: Nameko Rhythm and the raising game Osawari Tantei Nameko Saibai Kit (Touch Detective Mushroom Garden/Fungi Gardening Kit).
