Singer Faylan Returns from Hiatus After Recovering From Illness
posted on by Egan Loo
Hiromi Sato, representative director of the talent management agency S, announced on singer Faylan's official website on Friday that Faylan is gradually returning to work after taking a long-term hiatus due to an autoimmune disease. According to the diagnosis of Faylan's doctor, the singer has recovered enough that there should be no problem with resuming her career, if her situation is monitored.
Faylan will start her return with an appearance at the "Gata Fes 2016 Chūyasai" event in Niigata Prefecture on October 29. Her "Fay family" fan club and monthly S Channel "Fayland" streaming program are still on hiatus, but her staff will announce when each is relaunching when the respective timeframe is decided.
Satō apologized to everyone involved, and thanked the fans for supporting Faylan.
Faylan debuted in 2007 with her first single "Gekka no Rasen." She has gone on to perform theme songs for CANAAN, The Future Diary, Katanagatari, Mobile Suit Gundam AGE, Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero, Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East, BlazBlue Alter Memory, and Tokyo ESP. She has recently contributed theme songs to The Fruit of Grisaia television anime, and its sequel The Labyrinth of Grisaia.
She performed in the Ani-Song World Tour in Las Vegas in January 2015.
