The official website for the One-Punch Man television anime announced on Friday that it has cast Rikiya Koyama (Soul Eater's Shinigami-sama) as Sea King and Toshiyuki Morikawa (One Piece's Enel and Hatchan) as Lord Boros. The website for Shufu-to-Seikatsu Sha Ltd.'s PASH! magazine unveiled images of the two new characters.
Rikiya Koyama as Sea King, king of the Seafolk who wants to conquer land and plans to turn humans into slaves
Toshiyuki Morikawa as Lord Boros, the leader of the Dark Matter Thieves who comes from outer space and wants to battle warriors
Director Shingo Natsume (Space Dandy, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos) and Mad House's TV anime adaptation of ONE and Yūsuke Murata's manga premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo and Niconico Live on Sunday, October 4 at 25:05 (effectively, Monday, October 5 at 1:05 a.m.). Viz Media and Daisuki are both streaming the series outside of Japan.
The original manga's story revolves around the titular super hero who has trained so hard that his hair has fallen out, and who can overcome any enemy with one punch. However, because he is so strong, he has become bored and frustrated with winning all his battles so easily.
