Video game publisher Agatsuma Entertainment announced on Wednesday that it will bring all three Sayonara Umihara Kawase games to the PC via Steam.
The company will release Sayonara Umihara Kawase in October. The game is a port of its English release of the Sayonara Umihara Kawase + PS Vita game (titled Sayonara Umihara Kawase Chirari in Japan). The game's features include 60 new stages, bonus levels, four playable characters, a global time ranking leaderboard, different enemy positions from the 3DS game, bonus art styles, and a soundtrack. The game's PC Steam release will also include achievements, cloud-based saves, controller support, leaderboards, and trading cards.
Agatsuma Entertainment will also release the original 1994 Umihara Kawase Super Famicom/SNES game and the 1997 Umihara Kawase Shun PlayStation game on PC. Agatsuma Entertainment will announce the games' release dates at a later date.
In the games, the player controls the character sushi chef Umihara Kawase, using her fishing rod to navigate the games' levels. Kiyoshi Sakai developed the game, and Toshinobu Kondō designed the characters and provided illustrations. Both worked on the original 1994 Umihara Kawase game.
Natsume released the English version of the Sayonara Umihara Kawase + PS Vita game in North America on April 21. Agatsuma Entertainment released the game in Japan on April 23, and in Europe on April 30. The game is an enhanced version of the 2013 Nintendo 3DS game Sayonara Umihara Kawase, which Nintendo released digitally in North America as Yumi's Odd Odyssey in March 2014.
