Tokyo Ghoul #1 Ranks 2nd on U.S. Monthly BookScan July List

The first volume of Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul manga took the #2 slot on Nielsen BookScan's Top 20 Graphic Novel chart for July, rising from its debut ranking in June at #5.
The 70th volume of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto manga ranked at #4, dropping from its #1 slot on the June chart. The first volume of the Attack on Titan manga by Hajime Isayama ranked at #16, falling from its June rank of #12. The second volume of Reki Kawahara's Sword Art Online: Progressive light novel made the list at #19.
The 14th volume of Rosario + Vampire: Season II by Akihisa Ikeda did not chart in June or July after ranking #9 in May. Shōtarō Ishinomori's The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past manga did not make the list in July after debuting at #2 in May, and falling to #8 in June.
The BookScan rankings represent sales at Barnes & Noble and other book chains, independent bookshops, and online purchases — but not sales at comic book stores, Walmart.com, and some other venues.
