Bunny Drop's Yumi Unita to Launch Para Para Days Manga
posted on by Emma Hanashiro
This year's November issue of Shogakukan's Monthly Big Comic Spirits magazine announced on Saturday that Bunny Drop's Yumi Unita will launch a new manga series in the next issue on October 27. The series, titled Para Para Days, is a romantic comedy series that follows the story of Yashima, a quiet and indifferent animator who works a lot. The advertisement asks, "Will spring come to this young man!?"
Unita's original slice-of-life manga Usagi Drop began serializing in Shodensha's Feel Young magazine in 2005 and ended in April 2011, and Yen Press published the manga in North America. A television anime adaptation aired in Japan from July to September 2011, and a live-action film version opened in Japan in December 2011.
The December issue of Monthly Big Comic Spirits will also launch another new series, titled Kinoko Ku-chika, by up-and-coming manga artist Minami Nikkuni. This series follows mushroom aficionados Vanya, a Russian shop keeper, and Yuntarō, a mushroom artist, who share a room in Kyoto.
