iTunes Adds Kaguya, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, More Ghibli Soundtracks

Multiple Studio Ghibli film soundtracks by composer Joe Hisaishi are now available for download in the United States and Canada via iTunes. The store is offering The Tale of Princess Kaguya, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Castle in the Sky, Kiki's Delivery Service, Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea, Princess Mononoke, and Porco Rosso. Each soundtrack retails for US$9.99.
Studio Ghibli reported earlier this year that "more Studio Ghibli music [would be] coming soon to iTunes Stores around the world." The company had added the soundtrack for The Wind Rises to iTunes in North America in January.
The North American iTunes Store also carries a variety of instrumental and artist covers of Studio Ghibli music, as well as the soundtrack for the Ghibli-animated Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch game and other works by frequent Ghibli collaborator Hisaishi.
Hisaishi's score for The Wind Rises was on The Academy's shortlist for an Oscar nomination earlier this year, but it did not receive a formal nomination.
