U.S. Press Secretary Spicer Went to Katsucon 2013
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
President Trump stepped into his position as 45th President of the United States last week amid global protests of an unprecedented scale. The new administration found itself in its first entanglement as Press Secretary Sean Spicer gave a briefing to argue the number of attendees at President Trump's inauguration. Spicer's statement that Trump's inauguration had the "largest audience to ever witness an inauguration — period" flew in the face of facts, but also drummed up interest in other statements the press secretary had made, namely on Twitter.
The Internet began scrolling through Spicer's Twitter timeline from the last five years and discovered the man's other interests: Katsucon and Dippin' Dots. In 2013, Spicer attended Katsucon with Republican communications advisor and Jeb Bush campaigner Tim Miller, and former RNC National Press Secretary Kirsten Kukowski.

The annual convention takes place in February in National Harbor, Maryland at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center.
As for Dippin' Dots, Spicer isn't much of a fan of the 'ice cream of the future' and has said as much multiple times on Twitter from 2010 to 2015.
