Shaun the Sheep Meets Evangelion
posted on by Andrew Osmond
Crunchyroll reports that Aardman Animations' children's character, Shaun the Sheep, will appear at a charity exhibition at the 'Tokyo Plaza' in Omotesando in the Harajaku district.
There will be 130 cm statues of multiple versions of Shaun, designed by different Japanese artists. (There is an image of the designs at the Crunchyroll link.) There will be an 'Evangelion' Shaun by Hideaki Anno; a Sugar Sugar Rune Shaun by his wife Moyocco Anno; and further Shauns by Sanrio, the calligrapher Tomomi Kunishige (a calligrapher) and Osamu Watanabe (a sweets artist).
The Harjuku exhibition will run from June 12 to 25. The feature film Shaun the Sheep (which has already been screened in Britain) comes to Japan on July 4.
There is a similar tour of Shaun statues taking place in London, and another due in Bristol.
