GungHo Online Entertainment announced on Friday that streams of Studio Pierrot's television anime adaptation of the Puzzle & Dragons X ("Pazudora Cross") Nintendo 3DS puzzle role-playing game have accumulated more than 13 million views as of August 24.
The 13 million views consists of 2 million views in Japan and 11 million views from China.
Funimation is also streaming the series as it airs with both English subtitles and with a broadcast dub. The anime premiered on July 4 in Japan, and airs on Mondays at 6:25 p.m.
The Puzzle & Dragons X game shipped in Japan on July 28 in two different versions for the 3DS: "Kami no Shō" (God Chapter) and "Ryū no Shō" (Dragon Chapter). To commemorate the anime's success, players of both versions will be able to receive a special free in-game item. Players can receive this item via a QR code, which will be displayed after streams of the ninth episode on September 1. Streams for each episode are only available for one week.
