The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Anime Slated for January 9

The official website for the The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls television anime announced on Wednesday that the series will premiere on January 9.
Much of the staff from the 2011 The IDOLM@STER anime series will return for the Cinderella Girls anime. Noriko Takao will direct the series at A-1 Pictures, and will also the supervise series scripts alongside Tatsuya Takahashi. Yuusuke Matsuo (The IDOLM@STER Anim@tion Master Namassuka Special CD jacket illustration, Yama no Susume character design) will design the characters.
As of 2012, the idol-raising mobile game earns approximately 1 billion yen (about US$9.6 million) each month, and has more than four million users. The game has inspired a line of goods, various manga adaptations, and over 30 character song singles. The first five character song singles released ranked in the top 10 on the weekly Oricon charts.
