Have had my eye on this series for awhile now. Despite the loose ends left at the end, it sounds pretty decent; will probably pick it up after my manga backlog gets whittled down some more.

I read the first volume and honestly despite being a huge otome game fan I didn't like it at all. What really killed it for me is the fact that all the emplotees were men. I feel like it wasted potential by making it a generic reverse harem instead of showing vetern women in the industry. I think just one more prominent women would have helped the series out. Either as a writer or artist.

I thought the series was a cute bit of fluff, although it's lighter on the "insider baseball of the otome game industry" than I would have liked.

Well, it's a reverse harem about people who make reverse harems, I think that's part of the point...

I'll be honest. I have no idea what otome games are, what they're about,or why anyone would want to play them. I wish someone would tell me. I'd love to know that.

Even most reverse harems the Protagonist has 1 female friend. Haruka has Tomo, Ritsuka has Azuna, Alice has the Queen of hearts, Heroine has Mine and Sawa, and so on. That's where the generic part of my comment came in. That's why I specified Just 1 more prominent female figure and not that the whole cast should be replaced by women. Hell even Harems have at least 1 male friend for the dude, sometimes multiple friends/rivals/ w/e.
I'm a fan of reverse harems as much as the next girl, and I can still consider it a flaw to be that overtly imbalanced. Sometimes it can work to have no other female characters, but I didn't feel that way about this story.

An Otome Game is any game made with the female audience in mind. Generally they are Visual Novel style games where you can have the main character end up with a number of dudes and sometimes ladies.
People play them for different reasons. Some play them so they can self insert and pretend all the character are in love with them. I play them for various reason, partly because i'm old and busy with life and can't keep up with manga releases. I need to be able to have a completed story now rather than wait 10 years for minimal plot development in a shoujo manga. The initial draw of course was all the hot guys and being able to have the heroine end up with the one I thought was best. The main thing is some of the stories are good. I go for the more plot heavy ones over fluff.

Thanks,Sakura-Alchemist. I appreciate you telling me. I'm not as familiar with these type of games as others and I'm grateful for the info. Again, thanks.
